Technical Advisor

As a Technical Advisor you will respond to customer and consumer inquiries for retail and store sales, including social media, for the territory from Newfoundland to British Columbia. PPG's customer service mission is to provide an optimized service to its French- and English-speaking Canadian customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answering technical questions, providing recommendations on the use of our products, colour recipes, advice, administering complaints and providing information of all kinds to consumers and store employees on the whole range of products offered by PPG for all regions of Canada;
  • Locating for consumers, retail agents of products marketed by PPG;
  • Collaborating in the execution of your tasks with the various departments;
  • Reports into Manager, Technical Advice Center.
  • DEC or equivalent is required
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in the field of painting or coatings is preferred
  • Strong Professional computer skills required, including knowledge of Microsoft Suite and databases.
  • Previous experience working with SAP is preferred
  • Fluency in French speaking and writing required.
  • Expert-level English speaking and writing skills requited.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive responsibilities.
  • Autonomous and organized;
  • Strong capacity for judgment and analysis.
  • May need to work possible evening and weekends.
