Master Production Scheduler

As a Supply Chain Master Planner-Scheduler, you will develop weekly and daily production schedules that optimize customer service levels and working capital objectives. You work to balance the requirements of supply and demand for our Aerospace production! This is a critical position that will drive improvement initiatives and standard methodologies in the areas of materials management, production control and scheduling (MSW/PSW). Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains an accurate Master Production Schedule that is aligned with the sales forecast plan and supports level-loading based on manufacturing capacities and raw material availability.
  • Leads cross-functional teams related to manufacturing, planning and purchasing improvement initiatives, including Kanbans and other types of pull systems, such as production wheels.
  • Perform root cause analysis and create appropriate countermeasures for specific misses, such as On-time Delivery, Aged WIP, Schedule Conformance and Excess Inventory.
  • Use capacity and material planning tools to determine future production constraints and develop appropriate recommendations like overtime, capacity expansion, outsourcing or expediting.
  • Works closely with manufacturing and distribution to prioritize and expedite production requirements based on material availability, resources, machine capacities and changing demand signals.
  • Participates in the new product development process and manages the supply chain planning process for new product launches.
  • Monitors, analyzes and maintains key planning parameters including lead times and safety stocks.
  • Profiles inventory, including the identification of excess and obsolete inventory and aged WIP, and creates an action plan to address problem areas.


  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, or Supply Chain field is required. APICS certification a plus; dedication to acquire APICS certification is needed in the absence of a current certification.
  • Minimum of 2+ years in materials management, scheduling, planning and/or production control.
  • Strong data administration skills and analytics, including expertise in Excel; experience with ERP software, such as Oracle experience is beneficial.
