The Segment Manager, USCA Food & Beverage, Protective and Marine Coatings, will be responsible for developing and executing a strategy to drive growth into the food and beverage coating market! You will work in a fast-paced environment with leadership from PPG’s PMC business, including product management, marketing, commercial leaders, and technology experts to help drive business performance. In addition, you will work with customers, specifiers, government agencies, testing facilities, and other industry influencers to meet established goals!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn the business and establish strong relationships with PPG business leaders, with key personnel within each function.
  • Manage FDA, NSF, and other industry approval processes, including certifications, testing, and relationships.
  • Improve the strategy for the Food & Beverage segment. Conduct market assessment and understand customer needs, competitive offering, influencer chain, etc.
  • Drive sales and profitability by supporting and enabling commercial teams in execution of segment strategies. Generate and prioritize leads, develop necessary collateral (with MARCOM), ensure training, business reviews, etc.
  • Drive sales growth at assigned accounts/influencers. Educate customers and influencers on PPG’s Food & Beverage offering. Support sales team for major commercial projects.
  • Provide market intelligence on industry trends, identifying technology gaps and benchmarking competitive products. Build and lead new product development initiatives (working with R&D, technical, marketing, supply chain, and sales).


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, chemistry, engineering, or other related field of study.
  • 10+ years of commercial experience in the protective coatings or food and beverage facility construction/maintenance industries.
