As a Senior Account Manager, National Accounts you will drive current and long term sales growth plans and financial management (P&L) for buying groups and national accounts across Canada. You will work closely with both internal and external customers, retail operations, field sales, marketing, supply chain, accounting and customer service to achieve growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute and communicate strategy to drive sales growth and achieve business goals.
  • Lead product pricing, rebates, programs and overall profitability of the national accounts business
  • Develop and cultivate professional relationships with customers and decision makers, including Merchandising, Procurement, Supply Chain, Marketing
  • Handle contracts and contract negotiations with customers.
  • Analyze sales, production, service levels and profitability of accounts
  • Conduct line reviews and quarterly business reviews with key accounts
  • Develop financial and demand forecasts to appropriately service business and meet working capital objectives
  • Product assortment management, planogram strategy and new product launch coordination
  • Maximize return on investment of marketing, promotion and merchandising vehicles
  • Drive cross-merchandising and customer experience initiatives
  • Collect and process competitor data to grow sales and distribution potential.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, MBA preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of account management, sales or merchandising experience is required.
  • Proven project management skills are strongly beneficial
  • Professional acumen to effectively communicate with external and internal customers
  • Previous merchandizing or retail experience, especially in home improvement, is desirable.
  • Bi-lingual in English and French language is strongly preferred.
