As a IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing daily technical support to employees for a range of hardware and software related systems. In this role, you will provide infrastructure support to end-users at PPG locations and work with centralized IT teams to deliver new solutions and support the existing standards. You will work on small, isolated tasks where you are solely responsible for the work, or on small, specific teams - contribution is measured by their ability to complete the work assigned to them or their overall team to deliver results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage telephone calls, emails, and personnel requests for technical support.
  • Support end users by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems.
  • Acquiring, installing, and upgrading PC components and software and planning for/responding to service outages and other problems
  • Train users on use of new technology and software while participating in IT projects working with internal and external teams.
  • Evaluate alternative approaches and recommend the most feasible and efficient solutions while documenting, tracking, and supervising problems to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license and flexible to work rotating shifts and holidays.
